Eduardo Ramirez is a self taught Mexican-American, multidisciplinary artist, based in San Antonio, Texas. He has a Bachelors degree in Architecture from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (UANL), and has over 25 years experience as a graphic artist.
Ramirez was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and spent his formative years in Mexico and the Unites States. Since he was a child, he has been creative, and often found himself drawing, sketching and modeling small clay figurines. His formal career as an artist began when he was 18 years old. It was around this time that he started working with oil painting and participating in art shows.
Although his main creative method is painting, his new series, titled 'Ghosts From The Future' fuses disciplines from different art forms: painting, sculpting, graphic design and some aspects of architecture, with strong a focus on emotional expression. His main goal as an artist is to be able to capture our current moment in history, including our emotions, our fears, our desires, and our perception of the world we live in.
He worked as an art teacher for a couple of years in the late nineties while attending university.
Ramirez has participated in more than 30 group exhibitions and 7 solo shows. His most recent art exhibitions took place in London, Rome, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, and New York City.
